My husband and I entered into a Trust Deed in July 2005. We were discharged with a Form 11 on 9th September 2008. We have recently found out that two creditors haven't altered their files with you and it is giving us problems now. What do I do to get this changed as it is causing us problems getting credit? I was advised by the Company who dealt with our Trust Deed that everything should be normal now and to contact you with a view to getting this altered. Could you please advise us what we should do?

Now that your Trust Deed has been satisfactorily completed, all of the creditors whose debts were included in the arrangement should have updated your credit report to show the debts have been cleared. A copy of your credit report will confirm any accounts that haven't been updated and, if there are some, you should let us know so we can contact the creditors involved for you to set the record straight. You should also make sure that the Trust Deed itself has been updated. If you got into financial difficulties for a good reason, you might want to consider adding a note to your credit report explaining the circumstances. You can add up to 200 words. Future lenders will see this and may take account of the extra information.
