What can it do for me?
The Goad retail database provides information on over 450,000 retail occupiers. It is derived from retail occupancy information obtained through direct onsite surveys by Experian surveyors at a rate of 30,000 retail occupiers per month. The top 500 ‘ranked’ retail centres are surveyed on an annual basis with the remainder surveyed every two years. Bespoke surveys are available on request.
How can we help you?
Recognised by property professionals as the definitive source of information for the retail and commercial property industry, Experian's Goad database provides accurate retail information on over 2,300 town centre shopping areas, out-of-town retail parks and outlet villages in the UK and Ireland.
A few key facts
- A Goad plan gives a bird’s eye view of a retail centre, showing the fascia name, retail category, floor space and exact location of all retail outlets and vacant premises. Key location factors such as pedestrian zones, road crossings, bus stops and car parks are also featured, allowing you to instantly assess the site quality of existing or prospective store locations. Historic Goad Plans are available dating back to the 1960s.
- Goad reports allow you to tailor your retail strategy and product mix to meet local consumer demand. You can quickly analyse the retail mix and demographic composition of the 2,300 Goad surveyed retail centres in the UK and Ireland, using one or a combination of reports. User guides help you to get the most from your chosen report.
- Goad data is available in a variety of formats, including digital maps which show the layout of a retail centre past and present, with information on occupiers, line of business and floorspace. Goad reports help you analyse the current retail mix and composition of a retail centre along with the geographic and demographic extent of key consumer groups within the centre's catchment area. Retail planning reports also explain past retail trends and forecast future consumer spending on retail goods and the leisure sector using drive times or selected post codes.
