Where Britain Shops is the largest survey of its kind ever conducted in the UK. Using hundreds of thousands of responses from across the UK, Experian has created a national picture of consumers' preferred high street and out-of-town shopping destinations.
How can we help you?
The shopping centre catchments created by the Where Britain Shops survey are derived from actual customer responses rather than modelled data. This gives a more accurate insight into the pull of each destination. The survey is conducted annually, and the catchments are updated in response to changes in the retail composition of a shopping centre and its attractiveness to consumers.
A few key facts
- Where Britain Shops provides a comprehensive set of catchments for all significant in-town and out-of-town retail destinations in the UK. These include catchment areas expressed as flows of expenditure for shoppers from postal sectors to individual high streets or out-of-town shopping parks or catchment areas that contain the nearest 80% of spend around a high street.
- Available for use via our bureau, may be licensed for use in-house within your own database or mapping software or can by purchased within Experian’s Micromarketer Generation3 local analysis and mapping software.
